As I was looking through the leaderboards and weekend results, I couldn’t help but notice what a fabulous weekend it was for golfers from the UK! So happy to see the “return” of Padraig Harrington at the Honda, but he wasn’t the only Brit to make a splash (sorry for the PGA National pun). Paul Casey, Luke Donald, Jamie Donaldson and Russell Knox all placed in the top ten and were it not for a double on 11 followed by a triple bogey on 14, we’d all be talking about the return of I
an Poulter.
On the European Tour stop in South Africa, England’s Andy Sullivan was victorious with three other Brits tied for 2nd including Kevin Phelan, who I had the opportunity to interview at The Ritz Carlton U.S. Open Qualifier back in 2013.
And if that weren’t enough, young phenom Charley Hull battled world #1 Lydia Ko in the New Zealand Women’s Open before fading late, still carding a top 10 finish.
Why do I find myself already excited about Hazeltine?
