This week’s show had a local focus as we had special guests, Mike Cummings, PGA Head Professional from Capri Isles Golf Club and Ross Hanson from the West Florida Am Tour.

Capri Isles is one of three courses owned by the Golf In Venice group and really is one of Venice’s best golf experiences.  I had the chance to play there on Friday and couldn’t have had a better afternoon. The greens are PERFECT, meaning that birdies were dropping left and right, but don’t be fooled! We also welcomed in Ross Hanson from the West Florida Am Tour.  The “Am” Tour allows local amateurs to play the same courses as the West Florida Golf Tour with the same tournament conditions and set-up and at a fraction of the cost that they would normally pay to play the areas best private courses.  Players compete in a Quota Points game with an optional Skins game and The Am Tour tracks season long results and standings.  Tournaments are played on Mondays and you can find out more information at www.WestFloridaAmTour.com
