2017 is Here – Happy New Year

Fed Ex Cup Playoffs are in full swing as the Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston take center stage.  The LPGA stays “north of the border” with the ManuLife Classic in Ontario, Canada and the Web.Com Tour enters their 4-week playoff with 25 more PGA Tour Cards up for grabs!

2015 is in the books and oh what a year it was! Too many great memories to list them all, but highlights included:

  • Hanging with Nancy Lopez, Jan Stephenson, Juli Inkster and the stars of the LPGA Legends tour as Team USA won one of the most dramatic international team golf events in HISTORY at the ISPS Handa Cup at Palm Aire Country Club
  • Meeting and getting to know two of the very best in the business, Hector and Barbara Ramos from Somar Strength!

In addition, we’ve got great interviews lining up including some of the biggest names in the world of golf as well as many of our local PGA and LPGA teaching professionals, authors, course architects, and much, much more.  Here’s to a spectacular 2016 and thanks so much for listening!

Great week for UK Golf!

As I was looking through the leaderboards and weekend results, I couldn’t help but notice what a fabulous weekend it was for golfers from the UK!  So happy to see the “return” of Padraig Harrington at the Honda, but he wasn’t the only Brit to make a splash (sorry for the PGA National pun).  Paul Casey, Luke Donald, Jamie Donaldson and Russell Knox all placed in the top ten and were it not for a double on 11 followed by a triple bogey on 14, we’d all be talking about the return of IKevin Phelanan Poulter.

On the European Tour stop in South Africa, England’s Andy Sullivan was victorious with three other Brits tied for 2nd including Kevin Phelan, who I had the opportunity to interview at The Ritz Carlton U.S. Open Qualifier back in 2013.

And if that weren’t enough, young phenom Charley Hull battled world #1 Lydia Ko in the New Zealand Women’s Open before fading late, still carding a top 10 finish.

Gonna be a busy morning this week as we welcome in a friend of the show and official fitness trainer, James Wwhatmorehatmore from Whatmore Performance Training.  James will tell us all about his new facility, the pros he is working with, and he’ll have more insight than you probably care to hear about Tiger’s firing glutes!

We also welcome in local legend and Long Drive Champion, Kevin Shook for the first time on “Tee It Up With Nate Ditchfield”.  Kevin will tell us about his decorated career and how he hits the ball over 400 yards!
